Le Vie de Beurre
The buttery life is one filled with fine animal products. This fact is obvious in food, but in fashion fine animal products are even more necessary. Now, this is not to say that killing animals for the sake of fashion is necessarily humane, however we must admit the practicality of such products (namely durability and the superior warmth of fur). But this is not about the animals (and should these morals apply to vintage)?
Below is an image of a buttery leather and fur coat, compliments of The Sartorialist (www.thesartorialist.blogspot.com). The extra flap to the front fabric shows that the jacket oozes with comfort on a cold day. The ability to bundle the garment into soft folds on the chest is cozy and effortlessly chic. Practicality and elegance is something this French woman embodies to the fullest, just like buttah.
